Kubera is one of the best fictional stories out there. Its underrated since its nowhere near as popular as the likes of Tower of God Noblesse and other mainstream webtoons. Its so good that it made me write a review for it which I dont generally do. Art: 8/10 The one weak aspect of Kubera which I am sure everyone would agree on is Art at least the 1st season. Many might consider dropping Kubera for its art but trust me it gets much better after the first season. I read somewhere that Currygom Author hired a few assistants to help her with it after the initial season and it has been pretty effective. Plot:10/10 This has to be one of the most complex and intriguing story I have ever read. The grandness of One Piece mixed with the Mind blowing reveals and Plot Twists of AoT plus a dose of steroids gives you Kubera. It starts off slow and continues to be till the 1st season but the payoff is just amazing in the later seasons. Actions and Events which some might skim through in the 1st season has effects in the later seasons. It doesnt have mindless fights and is mostly a story driven plot. It includes almost all the tags which you might look for in a story Action Adventure Fantasy Gods Time Travel Mystery you name it. Currygom has woven together a beautiful and mindboggling story with some incredible foreshadowing and time travel aspects. As of writing this review the webtoon hasnt ended yet. I am looking forward to seeing what other shocks Currygom would give me and how the story would end. Characters:10/10 Another category where Kubera excels in. Kubera has wide cast and many protagonist and antagonists tho its not black and white. Every character has some backstory and Kubera goes deep into it. You have characters who start of as good tho fishy and betray the main protagonist you have characters who start of as merciless killers but become good and you will feel sorry for even the most detestable characters. The Main Protoganist Kubera Leez is similar to Bam from Tower of God in some aspects. They both have mysterious pasts and mysterious powers. The story often explores the world from the perspective of other characters and not just the Main Protagonist. The characters can be divided into 3 different races Gods Suras and Humans Including Quarters Halfs and . The Gods and Suras are based off Hindu Mythology. Final Thoughts: Read It. Just Read It. Seriously If you are a fan of Grand and Mysterious Stories this is a mustread. You might have the urge to drop it at the beginning due to its slow start and bad art but just stick to it for its massive payoff.
