The story does a great job setting up its plot and characters. Initially what catches your attention is not the common occurring setting or the story but the art style . Even though the character design are similar the colours are amazing and the art gets better throughout the series and we can see the growth of art where at the newer chapters especially at chapter 60 to 69 where the art is visually more pleasing than before.Something that can be overlooked but is prevalent in The Return of Mount Hua Sect is the usage of its colour and the vast landscapes. It is a tiny detail that provides perspective and insight into the scenery around the characters. Even though the characters are not exceptionally written the characters are still lovable. Even after many characters follow clichs they are still likable and dont feel overexaggerated it is very satisfying to read and predict. The big majority of the side cast is likable and each one with their own specialties and quirks. The main character is very fun to watch and feels very different from other main characters. The main character CheongMyeong while being strong is understandably and reasonably powerful within the realm of his position and world. He doesnt get powerful instantly he has to train and use the knowledge of his past in use to build up strength. Which among the murin genre of manhwa is very uncommon as the protagonist usually uses some cheat system and becomes powerful without any effort whereas in The Return of Mount Hua Sect it is constantly reminded to reader that even though he has the knowledge of the past his body cant handle his power . CheongMyeong doesnt fall into the trap of being a onedimensional good or evil character. he just does whatever he wants and whatever he profits from which makes him unpredictable and absolutely fun to experience .CheongMyeong isnt the only great character of this manhwa One of the antagonist during the tournament arc also has many great themes of escapism inadequacy etc. still the main character absolutely outshines everyone in this manhwa from beginning to up until now .One of the things about this manhwa which i found weird is that the humour of the manhwa is really good it is pretty rare to find a manhwa this funny while it not being a comedy manhwa . The pacing of the manhwa is really good . it neither feels too rushed nor feels too slow . This Manhwa is easily one of the best piece of friction which came of this media but its not for everyone if you have never read any murin type manhwa this is an easy place to start .
