I used to really love this webtoon but after a reread I just dont care for it anymore. Its a good story but for me it just seems way too sanitized. This series seems like its going to go in a darker direction and be a more psychological focused read than it turns out being. Your first impression of this webtoon is likely along the lines of Woah a webtoon about two sociopathic twins worming their way into a new hierarchy after transferring? Interesting. but its a far cry from that. It quickly devolves from the psychological heavy aspects into what can only be described as the middle school cat fights. Its very uninteresting and it always toes the line between being dark and more toned down. Which is honestly such a tease as the entire time you keep hoping for something that never comes. Yeah sure there are tragic happenings orchestrated here but they are quickly shown to have zero real consequences and even the reaction to from characters is weak and leaves so much more to be desired. Everything is often glossed over rather casually and dont even matter within the next 5 chapters. Its all so benign and inconsequential and leaves you let down more often than not. It never meets expectations. While I understand that judging something because it didnt meet your preconceived notions of it is entirely unfair I feel i this particular case its entirely warranted. In the afterword of this series the author mentions that the initial script was far too dark and had to be toned down and cut. This makes a lot of sense the series feels rushed and too much is skipped over and way too much is forced to happen in the span of so few chapters at any given time and it always felt like there was a hint of something darker that never came to fruition. I kind of dislike the way the brother is treated as well in this story. The author really comes out of left field with a twist backstory that felt very unneeded when only fifteen or so chapters were left. This left around three story lines that needed to be resolved at breakneck speed and just leaves you thinking oh wow everyone sucks now but not even in a fun or interesting way Its mentioned briefly in the afterword that the author was unsure which of the siblings was the worse person which I dont get it he got stiffed severely and the final twist at the end is I guess an attempt to make both siblings seem bad but honestly all it result does is make me feel even more for the brother and the intentionally ambiguous ending just seems like a cop out. I really wish this series original script came to be and not this mickey mouse tier bullshit. That being said I still enjoyed the series and it was fun. Its got nice art and despite its flaws I enjoyed it. Its just glaringly obvious this is their first real work Random rant about the afterword I have no idea how the author cant decide which sibling is the worse person. Its clearly the sister. If you disagree I urge you to get better opinions
