Note: This is my first time writing a review so um Im sorry. Will contain marked spoilers. Summary: I suck at summarizing stuff Im so sorry MC isekais into her favorite book when the OGMC was still a boy. MC fangirls over OGMC a lot and goes to OGMCs mansion in the cold north where he lives with his adoptive dad the ML. She gets engaged with the ML and things happen. Yeah I really am that bad at summarizing 1. Art The style is very well stylized and might be just a tweeny bit weird with the heads side view at first but itll grow on you in no time. The artist excels at shading which makes the art so so gorgeous and atmospheric. Imo one of the most important aspects in art for manga and such is how the art conveys atmosphere and emotion which for some reason never gets the attention it deserves. And this manhwa illustrates the feel and atmosphere of scenes so wonderfully with amazing lighting and panel arrangements. Its one of the only manhwas I see that pay proper attention to visual storytelling and I appreciate that so much. For example shamelessly stole this analysis but I just want to illustrate my point: In this scene the image is tilted so that Hades the guy in black has higher ground over Azar the other guy and it makes him looks taller despite their actual height expressing their dynamic 220https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/943448319315812366/1017357728647229531/unknown.png ide note because I know how hard drawing clothing textures and hair is I just cant help but fawn over the way the artist makes it look so natural and fluid and literally so perfect. Overall Plot Oh boy I have a lot to say about this. It starts like most typical childcare otome isekais which isnt bad because I gobble up that shit like theres no tomorrow but the gears really start spinning at around chapter 28. If you want to go in blind stop reading this part but lets just say the original book the whole world the MC isnt what you thought they would be. The plot runs really really deep and at some points well it turns into an existential fantasy gods psychological horror. But fear not You have plenty of fluffy scenes and heartfluttering romance to go with the existential crisis so they kind of balance each other out. The childcare fluff and romance is amazing and greatly amplifies the effect that the fantasy aspects has especially on the emotions when MC fiddles with all the existential horrors running around..... That side of the story connects deeply with the characters especially the leads and create delicious and painful angst. So good. 3. Aside from all that shes smart I mean not like those scheming playing4dchess FLs but shes emotionally intelligent and the fact that she worked out all the fantasy mindwarping bullshits on her own says something. Most otome isekai MLs dont really have a personality or a life aside from FL being emotionallyconstipated and swords but thats not the case with Hades. He has so much personality like I could just tell how hed react to events that would happen??? Hed worry so much for his son and FL in even the smallest of situations or joke around with that large ass ego of his with them. Some criticism of the official translation: totally didnt forget this because i was drunk on hades simp juice Im super grateful that this amazing series got licensed and the animation on the first chapter was so superb but there are some things that do bother me compared to the fan translation that came earlier. Like why did they have to change stan to simp......simping for a child is not cool and not a part of otaku culture tapas I beg you. Additionally they also didnt have to make it into Aisha stalking the author when she was isekaid by truckkun? In the fan translation she was going to a fan meeting if I recall correctly. It doesnt even make sense from a narrative standpoint since later Aisha mentions wanting to ask the author about why the novel was titled Persona before she died. If it was a fan meeting thats totally reasonable but which sane person would answer when their stalker ask them about their book instead of calling the police.............
