story characters art extra my rating please keep in mind that the final rating might be solely based on my personal enjoyment the review itself is just me discussing all the factors mentioned above. warning: please be aware that this is not a spoilerfree review story the manga follows the life of a shy girl named sumiru. one time while at school she overhears a random guy and her crush talking about what kind of girl would the latter one be into. he admits that he likes confident girls which is the total opposite of sumiru. after that event our main character somehow encounters a boy named nanami. hes very popular with girls and sumiru begs him to help her become more confident. throughout the story the mc becomes more and more brave and confident in herself and a lot of usual romcom stuff happens she goes to a summer festival with friends etc. now onto the bad stuff. ive read the manga physically and i must say that the pacing in the first volume especially in the beginning was too fast nanami and sumiru became friends way too quickly. as i also said in the title of the review the ending feels as if the actual ending was cut out. if i wouldnt know the series is already finished id be 100 sure that there will be one more volume. also that one joke about domination in vol 1 was just cringe. but there are good things to say about it too even tho i said above that one of the jokes was just bad most of the them werent after all this is a manga by konkichi themself the author of what i think is the funniest comedy ever createdhttps://anilist.co/manga/105175/ZettaiBLniNaruSekaiVSZettaiBLniNaritakunaiOtoko/. i also feel like its slightly different than your usual romcom but maybe thats just me. it was just a cute enjoyable manga that ended too quickly... and there was no conclusion nor any kind of payoff at the end. characters the cast is what makes this manga good all of the characters as well as their designs are lovable and cute af. their relationship dynamics are way too sweet too. i loved the purplehaired guy furiya?? and the kenmalike looking girl. also the green haired girl is like a version 2 of misuzu from tomochan but with a worse character design. in conclusion: its worth it for the cast. the only thing that bothered me about the characters was that nanami got no character development at all he still kept on mindlessly flirting with every single pretty girl in sight. art i love konkichis artstyle its so expressive and pretty. i must admit tho that on the panels that were showing some kind of a fight or sudden movement etc. i had no idea what was going on the author probably just isnt used to drawing fight scenes but thats alr not like it influenced the story much. extra i think i already made it clear in the story part but im a big fan of a man who defies the world of BLhttps://anilist.co/manga/105175/ZettaiBLniNaruSekaiVSZettaiBLniNaritakunaiOtoko/ its great i totally recommend it if youre looking for something more similar to this manga tho id recommend the anime ver of tomochan is a girlhttps://anilist.co/anime/151806/TomochanIsaGirl/. its a great romcom with similar qualities it has a good sense of humor and a fun cast. you should totally watch it if you havent yet my rating a manga that couldve done much better with just a bit more effort and a few more chapters but its fun nonetheless a 8/10 for me because i loved the cast but ill be forever salty about the ending being so sudden and random.
