lets be honest: this movie was just BAD from start to finish. other than the animation that was pretty solid and mind you this is the only thing i can make a compliment on the entire plot absolutely didnt make any sense. having the power to stop time for 3 minutes would be fine if what follows after that had some sort of substance. but it doesnt. instead what happens is: when the movie starts and that the main character stops time the first thing she does is lift the skirt of some random girl to look at her panties random girl that was never hinted to be her love interest in the first place and whos apparently the only one that magically escapes the power that the main character has. thats about it. no joke this is really the premise of fragtime. the main character is made out to look like a pervert and the love interest which i struggle to perceive as one isnt in any better state shes just flavourless and an empty shell of a girl. as a queer person i could easily assume that this was made to cater to the male gaze and that it was created by a man without even looking it up. this is no romance. this just sounds like the scenario of a man in his thirties who imagines young girls during their middle/high school years and mixes it with his own fantasies from when he was a prepubescent boy. it feels like when this story was created the author sat in front of their desk and wrote: panties bras girl stripping in the middle of an exam girls with matching panties girls touching each others breasts invitation to have sex that doesnt go anywhere so that i dont get in trouble for it later on and then boom this was turned into a manga. to think that this is the kind of lesbian rep were getting is infuriating me because this movie is still fairly recent. from what i can see it came out in 2019 so you cant tell me that there wasnt anything better to make an adaptation. i know that lesbian stories are very few if you dont seek for it yourself you wont get a single yuri crumb because yuri doesnt get as much promotion as a yaoi would. but still you cant tell me that there wasnt a variety of yuri manga to choose from. now the only reason why im scoring this with 20 out of 100 is because of the animation that wasnt too shabby. i wish we had more good yuri movies or yuri anime series with this type of animation. but this was just too disappointing. dont waste your time on this movie if youre considering watching it. this is neither a good representation nor a good movie to pass time. youll waste an hour of your life on this and end up infuriated like me thats it. edit: i went on a hunt about the original author of this story and i see that there was a oneshot called no bra no panties no future and im even less surprised that this is what they came up with for fragtime. edit again: wow this is actually written by a woman...
