Im not sure how to write a proper review so Ill just write what comes to mind: Boku no Papa to Papa no Hanashi = The Story of My Dad and Papa 220https://static.myfigurecollection.net/upload/entries/1/3076203580a.jpg Boku no Papa to Papa no Hanashihttps://anilist.co/manga/160455/BokunoPapatoPapanoHanashi is one of the best BL mangas I have ever read in my youthful lifetime XD Im not even in my mid20s. Lemme explain how beautiful hopefully you get interested : Boku no Papa to Papa no Hanashi is about two parents: Nao and Ai. 1 They start dating at university 2 Japan legalizes gay marriage I hope someday they will in real life 3 so they get married and adopt a child who is named Hiro. Jeez. This manga is ABSOLUTELY beautiful inside and out. The art is adorable and is drawn well. I personally love the art style The characters are well developed and you can easily identify their personalities. Nao is someone who hides his feelings and cares a lot about the people around him. He is quite an independent person and is more on the reserved side when it comes to interactions. Ai is the opposite XD. He is a very open person and is always ready to make people smile with his easygoing personality. The part that I love about Ai is how he doesnt care what other people think and he goes on living his life with love to give. I dont think Im inspired by how open he is about his sexuality because everyone has their own reasons so it would be disrespectful to say that especially because Im a straight person so who am I to be like OOO wow thats great but I do love how he never really gives a damn XD. He thinks of it as: Yeah Im gay so what?. The things that people generally overthink about Ai is like: It is what it is and thats okay cause Ill deal with it my own way. He stands up for himself and educates people. I find that to be inspiring because man did I learn a lot from him. The two have a healthy relationship so when they adopt Hiro the love just increases. Hiro is a cute and mischievous child. The two adopt him when he is zero years old and the story shows what his childhood is like up until the age of eight thats how the manga ends. Through Hiros childhood you can see how Nao compares his relationship with his parents to Ais. Remember how I said that Nao hides his feelings? But guess what? They COMMUNICATE about it I know CRAZY RIGHT? Its so common to find toxic relationships in BL manga for some reason but this manga tells a story of two kind university students who grow up to be caring parents of a cute little bean. How can you not appreciate it? Ive read a ton of manga and its so common to have two main characters go through a misunderstanding or an argument that doesnt get resolved until 20 chapters pass. Nao and Ais relationship is one where theyre both independent yet can lean on each other and not have to be awkward for eternity. 320https://5.yaoiscan.com/site2/bokunopapatopapanohanashi12625/chapter6/7.jpg Now to everything else the story gives: THE LESSONS TAUGHT IN THIS STORY ARE IMMACULATE. Simple yet immaculate I cant give away much because I dont want to spoil anything so Ill just say that this manga touches on so many topics. The story is short but that doesnt mean it carries barely any meaning. I have read mangas that are more than 40 chapters with almost no meaningful lessons attached to it so being a short or long manga doesnt matter. It never did. It doesnt just include the difficulties of taking care of a child being gay and family issues but the story also touches on the expectations of being any kind of human being. Like there were some topics that Id never encountered in a BL manga so I kept getting surprised while reading. It was like opening a gift every time I started reading a new chapter Im so glad that Ive found a BL that really captures a beautiful relationship and teaches the importance of words that people say and the meanings that they carry. Im a supporter of the LGBTQ+ community and gay marriage but I learned that sometimes words that seem to be nice can also be looked at as not motivating or loving. Reading this made me less ignorant and more educated. This is such a beautiful story from a pretty new mangaka Roji. The story is so pure and executed so well I adore it. Everything about it is just so stinkin meaningful so I highly recommend it 320https://ta1.yx247.com/comics/pic17/6/89286/8055525/1537f52273628f1309fa9ed1fdf07a14.jpg Thank you for reading 3
