This is one of those series Ive really struggled to get through. This review WILL be spoilerfilled because it already took away my precious lifetime in exchange for knowing how good of a person Rein is. Did you know Rein is such a kind person? Sigh. This series has the most cultlike propaganda for the penultimate form of a fantasy harem MC of one who possess no flaws at all and can charm girls to instantly loving him the same week they meet him with a single gesture. For those unable to read part of my subtext this review will be DRENCHED with sarcasm due to how torturous the sessions to watch through these series were. For the quick tldr the adaptation is alright but the source material is terrible. If you just want to oogle the art or the females be my guest. Story: 3/10 Yuusha Party wo Tsuihou Sareta Beast Tamer Saikyoushu no Nekomimi Shoujo to Deau somebody please help these fantasy authors out with their titles. I get it is the easiest way to deliver a synopsis of your work but thats what a synopsis is for is about Rein Shroud who gets kicked out of the worlds hero party for seemingly being useless. The reason he gets kicked out is a reason you can find from a box containing a lottery of generic excuses to kick someone out. And before you get any ideas everyone in the party is a onedimensional bad person with no discernible reason as to why they are so. To recap Rein possesses the ability to tame any species and empower each other through that bond henceforth the name Beast Tamer. Showing sadness about the situation he resolves to become an adventurer instead. He carries with him an extremely tragic backstory where he is told to play in the woods all day yet he comes back to his village razed to the ground with no survivors. Absolutely tragic. Got me gasping crying it didnt. In the present he tames a variety of ultimate species such as a Cat Spirit a Dragonoid twin faries as well as fifth member that I didnt bother remembering past a certain point. He encounters various things I will now neglect to mention because they all made an imperceptible impact on the story besides putting Rein in a position to sulk for a minute before being told by his companions that he is a very kind and generous person who thinks of everyone but himself. Later on he encounters his former party which showcases the power of onedimensional personalities versus the kindness of Rein and his companions. Using the power of the Beast Tamer class and how kind Rein is the hero party is swiftly dealt with before moving on. Somewhere past 6/7 episodes some corrupt noble decides he likes the twins as young as they look and wants them for himself but our kind and great Rein steps in to show his moral superiority and deals with the situation handily earning more brownie points for the twins. At some point Ive become convinced that these last couple episodes are just to set Rein up to be praised by the town for how nice and kind a man he is. I was proven right. The climax of the series happens when a benefactor you know who it is I dont need to spell it out for you considering how predictable it is helps out a noble and gives him the power to raze the town and our kind Rein to the ground... wait a minute raze the town to the ground? Rein is involved and the town he lives in may burn down? Oh my goodness we have a story on our hands ...if I was being incredibly ignorant or just uninformed of the genre Id be somewhat surprised. Instead I just laughed harder. In pain. At every point of the story Rein Shroud showed no signs of visible vulnerability or personality flaw making him an extremely boring MC. Not to mention his normal good actions as an adventurer causes his companions to fall in love with him... in nearly the same week they meet him? Am I missing something here? Also ALSO we must mention that Rein is a great and kind person who never does anything wrong and he is extremely grateful for those who would be angry on his behalf. To be honest with you I really wanted to gouge my eyes out from the boredom I experienced through this. But I couldnt because Rein is such a kind and great person how could I do that to myself? I need to live on knowing that Rein is an extremely good person and that his faults nonexistent as they are are only human even though he possesses an extremely godly ability to tame numerous overpowered species of people. Please help me. Cast: 5/10 Ill keep it brief. Rein Shroud is an extremely awesome person who is the most kind man you will ever meet and know about. His backstory is more than enough to tell you that he is an extremely burdened individual who only wants to make a difference in the world. If you dont know that his companions of which at most hes known for a month or something love about him. In other words hes akin to watching paint dry. Wait at least paint drying has some interesting properties such as the time to dry the effect it has on the surface it dries on or even how temperature affects its speed and texture. Rein Shroud is less interesting than that. The girls around him are also cookie cutter to an extent and youll have seen a caricature of them in other shows done more tastefully. However if you only care about looks then I guess theyre the best itll get for the show. Hero Party is bad. They kick out MC. They must be bad. They lose to MC. They are bad and they are bad. So yeah its a 5/10 because the girls seem to be dealing with something. Its extremely nonspecific though but that notches the group above everyone else. Audio: 5.5/10 Theyre okay. Bonus for consistency if nothing else. Additionally it looks like the animators tried to have a little fun with some of the characters with their personalities so more points for that. For the thorny you know who you are I dont think an uncensored version exists for that one episode. Regardless if you like looks then theyre okay as visual go. Overall: 5/10 I give this a personal rating of Garbage and a recommendation for everyone to skip this whenever possible. Its probably the most tame pun intended Kicked out of the Heros Party anime as far as that trope goes but its extra bad for how Rein and the cast are portrayed. Minus points for the story being extremely doo doo though the majority of these flaws seemingly come from its source material.
