This review contains spoilers. Tis time for noticing these. Tis Time For Torture Princess is an anime that its full of torture both in this anime and in my mind. With all of its formulaic episodes how bad can this anime be suited for torture? Tis time we look at it. THE STORY: 6/10 The formula of each episode contains in order Tortura stating the torture Hime not buying it cause shell state about how important she is Hime then buying it and having overreactions to it confessing and finally Maou telling Tortura to continue with the princesses torture. Rinse and repeat for 12 episodes. Its repetitive at its finest but all it boils down to is literally predictable and stale. Over time the anime begins to show other subplots like Louchs attempts to cast a spell but even that can get old. Sure repetitiveness can change the formula like in some media like the Pokemon anime or Phineas Ferb but Tis Time takes it to the point of the brim that the princess reminds you thats shes the commander of the Imperial Army so many times that you think you had the attention span of a goldfish. Meanwhile in the Land of Giant Food.. THE CHARACTERS: 7/10 Theres a lot of characters to be focused on in this anime and the anime rotates through the torture sessions by having a lot of them provide the punishment for Hime who is a princess with an attraction to anything the torturers will offer for her. Some of them include cat girl Krall twin onis Youki and Inki and much more. The Demon Lord is one of the best characters in the show and his segments are one of the redeeming qualities about this entire anime featuring him being a good dad by impressing and working together with his wife and his daughter its so wholesome that it stands out and they could have a solo episode together if it happened. The most wholesome anime family in 2024 ever. THE VISUALS: 6/10 The visuals for the show look average but the Princess facial expressions for her overreactions range from calm to way overhyped almost like it if was a cartoon. The food closeups during the show also look good for anime standards. The best character that could good for the artstyle of this anime has to be The Demon Lord looking like a great guy inbetween all of your average monsters you find in this anime. Cat girl or relative of Aisha Clanclan? You decide SOUND: 6/10 The OP of the show has some good visuals and all but its just another upbeat happy theme to suit what happens for this anime. And it even plays in the final episode during the isekai battle where The Demon Lord gets to speedrun the whole thing fitting his need that he likes it when the OP plays in the final episode of any anime. The ED also is suited for a happy tone but it does have an art style where the characters look like they came out of a storybook or a doodle showing the daily lives of Hime and the rest as both it and the OP play out together. Taking through a ride through the COOLEST. COASTER. EVER ENJOYMENT: Since I recently finished this anime I thought I would share my thoughts on it. And well its repetitive enough but this one has it moments and tries to change up the formula a bit. But it ends up being the same throughout the entire series to the point where you can make a bingo card out of what happens in the episode. If theres another anime with princess thats repetitive probably not this one but maybe Sleepy Princess In The Demon Castle it does what this anime cant but its similar to this one complete with a cast of monsters mundane luxuries and more. But Tis Time is sure one stale anime for me but give it a go if you like princesses fantasy anime or if you are a fan of Sleepy Princess for this one. But in the end the torture will continue on and on for Hime. Tis time for sports princess.
