Thus Hikigaya Hachiman conveys... It wouldnt be SNAFU without 8mans inner monologues. We immediately receive some rotten yet valid points about the happiness of being married. Coming home to see your sleeping childrens faces would make one motivated for tomorrow but seeing them means youre working overtime and returning late in the first place right? Word. Then we got a short scene of Hachiman interacting with one of the greatest anime siblings of all time Komachi. She does annoying things but you cant help loving her. Thats how they be. Cut. Opening sequence plays nostalgia overflows. You cant remember Oregairu without remembering this song which is used as an OST in the upcoming seasons. Yahallo clubroom The Service Club receives a request from the Iron Fist Hiratsuka about raising the appeal of marriage to todays youth. Of course she couldnt do it herself because she single as hell. Someone marry her already. I have no idea how shes single in the first place. The surveys Yui collected from her class are not enough to solve the problem so who does Yukino call to save the day? The point system herself Komachi. Hence begins the marriage reality show hosted by Komachi who somehow turns into Dekomori from Chuunibyou. We already have our Rikka in Zaimokuza so might as well call it My Teen Romantic Delusions and Other Things. Incoming Rikka fans with Gun Twinkle 2200https://i.ur.com/VW24I8b.gif Marriage show Love how after tasting Yuis dogshit Zaimokuza just plays dead for the rest of the spiel silently begging to be noticed. Everyones intentionally ignoring him. Meanwhile Hachiman eats the rest in onego which makes Yui admire his kindness but in reality he just protecting Totsukas smile forever. He also did this with her cookie. The OVAs just bringing back all the lovable aspects of the main season. Hiratsukas dish is good because its probably the only dinner she makes. Afterwards we get the Bridal Quiz. This part was actually one of the more entertaining parts as it made me wonder what my answers wouldve been too. Each characters boards portrayed their personalities all too well. Yuis answers were generic and clueless Yukinos answers were cold and rational Hachimans answers were rotten and Hiratsukas answers were VIOLENCE. FISTS. Yukino fans eating good with this one because she looked stunning. Sidenote: Watching this OVA now made me realize how novel accurate the first season was in terms of visuals. The panels before the commercial breaks and each character design. The animation and art style becomes light years better in the next season but Im glad s1 was how it was. Anyways I dont think this OVA is mandatory for anyone approaching the second season but it is a good time for anybody who enjoyed the characters and the comedy of the first. This ones aight.
