This was one of the first animes I ever watched I grew up watching it but only completed it recently a few months ago It holds a very special place in my heart I have yet to get to the rest of the Jewelpet animes but this one will always be the most special one to me. just thinking about younger me watching it on my crt tv really takes me back it gives me so much nostalgia sanrio animes are ALWAYS good STORYLINE: There isnt much i would change about it?? a certain plot point that i dont understand is how in this specific season Diana and Dian are related and apparently in ALL the other seasons/prequels/etc. they arent related??? Ive seen a specific spoiler in one of the prequels from the 2010s or so where Diana got into a fight with Garnet because Diana wants to be with Dian but Dian and Garnet where together in the scene?? as in walking together/spending time together im unsure if they ended up together officially and at the end of the scene Dian told Garnet that hes sorry and he walks over to Diana because she was crying and hugged her while Garnet looked at them then walked away im curious as to how that episode is gonna go but i am FAR away from even finding it so my point here is R.I.P to all the Diana x Dian shippers yall must be feeling REALLYYY conflicted. i dont like that ship nor do i like Dian x Garnet so ummm LOL dont mind my wack opinions on the shipping wars . . fr though like why make them related in one season and in all the other seasons they arent related anymore?? please make up your mind.. CHARACTERS: Not much about to say about the human characters NEXTTT. Diana is silly and cute i relate to her sometimes BUT the only thing Id change is how she acts around her brother Dian becausee in my opinion she can be really weird around him at times and that was a REALLY unnecessary thing to the plot. Dian is my comfort character i have high hopes for how hell be in the later scenes Sango deserves more screentime and more lines I dont like Ruby but I dont hate her either I LOVE FLORAS DESIGN GOODNIGHT. OVERVIEW: It was a overall interesting and good anime if you like this kind of genre Id highly recommend it although alot of the first season is the same plot point over and over again it makes up for it as the season continues. not gonna spoil anything but lets just say that i LOVED the finale i just wish that specific part of the plot was brought up earlier in the season they couldve done alot more with it instead of just ending it there. i know the other animes/prequels of jewelpet are TECHNICALLY different universes but in my eyes its like pieces of a puzzle adding up together in a sense.. not much else to say about it id have more to say if i liked the human characters as much as i like the jewelpets but thats just not the case.
