VERY QUICK AND BASIC REVIEW This show is wild to both extremes in multiple ways eg silly and immature one minute then sexually humorus the next as well this it bosts a childish and simple art style while at the same time containing fairly adult like humour. This contrast is something that suits the shows mood very well Comes with a brilliant Dub Mainly because of the MCs voice acting choice who is Minori from Toradora and Mako from Kill La Kill. Perfect choice to play an akward and socially ignorant teen for obvious reasons if you have seen either Toradora or Kill La Kill The whole thing has a very original plot. Honestly never seen much like it. APART FROM: The first episode which is easily compareble to the first EP. of Neon Genisis Evangelion Let me explain first aha ... Think about it... 2 Young MCs both forced into a position they arent ready for nore want who both need to pilot some kind of machine that at first frightens them because of the shere shock and unbelivablity of the situation at hand. Both regardless to their refusal of involvement seem to be ignorantly ignored and shoved idlely into responsibility whether they like it or not. However Evas attempt in my personal opinion was pretty shit whereas with this show its done really very nicely. Sorry if you dislike that unpopular opinion but i prefer to think critically rather then be subdued to ignorant cult fandom. Everything is very sweet and fun but has the constant potential to get serious because of its adult overtone. The show has an absolutely awesome main character simply because she aserts alot of personality and development without needing a complex backstory or over induced plot Which is totally enough for such a simple story any more would be too much which is achieved through a very clear amount of effort put into incapsulating what type of person she is eg Blunt Honest To A Fault To The Point Accidently Offensive Insecure Mainly due to her selfawareness to the previously stated traits Irritatingly Cute Socially Inept as well as Socially Ignorant... and all apparent within the first few episodes by putting her in certain complicated Yet not so complicated situations she needs to quickly react to which also makes her so easy to route for. Easy to watch for light fun but you can also get into it and scream your heart out if thats more your thing The Dragon somehow seems like he has lines even though he both cant and never speaks which is achieved through really well dialogued one sided conversation scenes. The sexual banta doesnt take away from the mood because its well timed as well as this the shows sexual banta isnt achieved through cheesy fan service but rather its done in a very innocent and awkward way much like western media. Which is very interesting and fairly orginal for an Anime tbh Both halarious and touching monologues are constantly coming from the MC. Summary without spoilers: A story about a teen/new adult put in a very serious and adult situation that shes not quite ready for who always ends up messing up all the time because of her slight immaturity as well as social ignorance/inept Qualities Which is very relatable for me at least xD however she needs to figure out quickly how to rise to the occasion despite her quirks before the situation shes in swallows her up Literally 10 Points if ya get that one xD TO SUM UP in 5 main points: Extreme contrast. FUN Silly Charismatic And Comedically well timed Its an adult like show for literally anyone to Love. RATING 9.5/10 And only because im trying to hold back my childish hype...
