The movie buildup the soundtrack the characters everything was incredibly great to watch and listen. It felt like a great ending to an already great series. But my problem is that it didnt feel like an ending and it felt kind of rushed. It shouldve just been made into a second season. All of the emotional moments definitely got to me but for some reason I didnt feel completed at the end of the movie. The intro battle got me started on the edge of my seat getting me all confused at the fact that they salvaged a sunken ship. The concept of the whole Fleet girl sinks becomes Abyssal and vice versa was really intriguing and definitely a great way to make the viewer think. But then came the question: If the Fleet Girls were the start of it all how did one of them sink and become an Abyssal leading to the war? The way we learn of how to get rid of the Abyssal effect on a Fleet Girl was a shocker but it was a little predictable. Though that doesnt take away the fact that it was incredibly painful to get through the scene of Mutsuki getting to know the truth. Through the end of S1 and the movie Yamato has become one of my favourite characters. The biggest and broadest of all the ships has the kindest of hearts and she really starts to bond with Fubuki. Seeing her protect Fubuki at the end battle was a big shocker cuz heck I didnt want her to sink. The voice of the Ironbottom Sound was definitely ominous and spooky to hear just thinking about the fact of walking at the beach getting spoken to by the ocean...brr...It was kind of a letdown to see all it needed was a simple hug. As I said the movie felt extremely rushed. Everything could have been even better than what it already is because Im honest and its still a great movie. But I have to admit why is Shimakaze at the party but not at the battle? Heck where is she throughout the entirety of the anime? Yes I am a Shimakaze fanboy but come on Amatsukaze got more screentime in the movie than Shimakaze in the entire anime. I WANT ANSWERS Anyways enough about my favourite waifu...I did thoroughly enjoy the movie but there was a lot more potential all it took for Fubuki to save the world was to dive in a pillar and hug some girl at the bottom. Maybe a second future season will fill my/our needs but since Kancolle is a couple years old I highly unfortunately doubt that well get more...
