my first ever review so please be forgiving : My Sister My Writer is a standard harem anime about a normal boy whose little sister has written a light novel to profess her love to her big brother but for reasons unknown she is unwilling to take credit and talks the protagonist into doing so i say unknown as everyone in the show seems to blindly accept that little sisters fall in love with big brothers as the norm. The light novel turns out to be a huge hit and the harem all fall for the protagonist in one way or another due to him being such an excellent writer normally i would drop such crap quite quickly but on occasion i find the titillation anime genre quite funny for example i really enjoyed High School DXD although i wish they could have toned it down in the more serious parts and this anime seemed like it was edging towards something more than pure fan service in earlier episodes throwing subtle hints that it wanted to say something about the little sister genre but sadly never seemed to manage more than a few nods of commentary such as the title of the light novel or a comment in an earlier episode about writing the second chapter you dont need to add a new girl to push the story along while blatantly doing the opposite in the anime the other issue with the anime seemed to be the opposite of high school DXD not enough titillation we would sometimes go 2 or 3 episodes with barely any panty shots or jiggling boobs making it again feel like it didnt know if it wanted to be a fan service or a parody/commentary on the genre itself. while not understanding or willing to commit to either making the anime a total boring mess overall i wouldnt recommend this to anyone for any reason Whether you like soft core anime funny anime or anime that likes to push boundaries The only reason i completed this is because its the Christmas holidays and i couldnt be bothered looking for anything else to watch if i was to recommend a titillation anime it would be How Not to Summon a Demon Lord quite funny lots of titillation while not being totally obscene
