You know how there are a child cartoons that give kids some kind of morale every episode and yet they are still pretty good on their own? Well Ubunchu is kind of like that except that morals it teaches arent so childish. Its a fun manga that manages to be pretty good despite being being so oddly specific focused on glorifying Ubuntu and nonprofessional. Keeping that in mind Im not going to be judging it very hard. Best thing about it is that morals are broad and can be applied to any kind of situation. I really like chapter about appearance of Unity desktop environment especially now that its been deprecated. It teaches people to give a chance to something new and different something they would usually be very skeptical about. In a modern world where attachment familiarity with software allows even the crappiest to remain popular its very important to consider other things. And its not always has to be something new it can be something older or something completely different and sometimes you need to set aside your Im used to that and Im not trying anything else attitude. relevant XKCDhttps://xkcd.com/1782/ Besides author makes multiple attempts at bringing some kind of consistent plot character development and your usual manga humor to his work and result is well also pretty good And Im serious about character development. While Windows guy is kinda bland and here mostly for contrast and humor Slackware girl is really good developed character as much as she can be in such short span. Art style is simplistic yet pretty solid and sometimes very cute. There are OS mascots here and there and it just shows how much love went into this work. Also it is released under Creative Commons license meaning anyone can translate it read it use it. Its very important aspect of this work and should be considered as a part of it. This again shows the spirit of the community it tries to promote. The better much bigger yet much less noticeable part of the community that is also shown in this work. I dont really have much else to say about this work there are only 11 chapters translated and they are pretty short. Still it managed to leave a huge impression on me. I think everyone should try reading at least first 46 chapters no matter if you already use Linuxbased OS or dont even think about trying it.
