That doesnt mean all of them retain the same amount of quality though because a few stories do drag to a degree and not all of them are as engaging or shocking as the others. That being said each tale is fresh gruesome and undeniably raw. Youll find yourself cheering him on as he defeats his supernatural foes and tries to protect his sister I certainly did. His sister is also not the annoying type that needlessly whines and complains as she cares for her brother deeply just as he cares for her. She never believes in what her brother tells her but the dialogue from their exchanges is endearing and amusing. Their sibling dynamic fits into the story comfortably. Its not that its particularly scary except for maybe the last story I for sure wasnt scared much though that may be because Im used to horror manga/movies now it is just extremely disturbing to sit through. There are a lot of limbs being torn off multiple panels depicting the puncturing and slitting of various body parts and plenty of gory splatters. Even though it is a horror manga and horror mangakas always go all out in their artwork there is still an adventure. Or some weird kind of it. If youre looking for an exciting read that has: 1 Gore 2 Disturbing Imagery 3 A likable protagonist and 4 Short stories that progressively get creepier then this manga is perfect for you. It is utterly horrifying in the best way possible.
