2000https://i.ur.com/bkdA8oR.png Welcome to MM Heres the premise. The main character Taro is a masochistic pervert who gets off when hes assaulted by women. About half the people hes acquainted with are cute girls who verbally and physically abuse him. Got it? This is essentially a Looney Toons setup which is made clear very early in the show when Taro gets tossed through a secondfloor window at his own school. Aside from that our protagonist gets boiled in hot water roasted over an open flame struck by baseballs shocked by electricity... hes having the time of his life. Despite this Taros goal is to get his fetish cured. He turns to the 2nd Volunteering Club a club which specializes in trying to fix peoples personal problems. Though the club is led by Mio whose idea of treatment is beating the shit out of him. Other members of the club include Arashiko who is trying to get over her fear of men. Whenever any man touches her she punches them on reflex. More reasons for Taro to get beat up And finally theres Michiru whos there to dress up Mio in various outfits and take pictures of her. Shes one of the handful of characters who isnt romantically interested in the protagonist. Needless to say nobody in this club is getting their problems fixed so if you were looking forward to some kind of redeeming story arc Im sorry to let you down 2000https://i.ur.com/sPdSHKJ.jpg Might not be getting back up after this one. I couldnt blame the viewer for thinking it will have one however. The show has a deceptive start where it hints at a meaningful progression. Within a few episodes Taro is getting to the bottom of Michirus androphobia. He confronts an abusive exboyfriend of hers which is taken very seriously compared to the rest of the show. However by the time you get to episode 5 the show spirals completely out of control into cartooney nonsense. Once Noa a genius girl with 200 IQ tries to harness Taros pervert energy to corrupt the world any hope for more serious themes is gone. But this is a harem comedy The main focus is between Mio and Arashiko. Those two both want Taro. Then on the side theres Taros own mom and sister who have incestuous lust towards him. Theres also Noa the genius who has a longing for friends due to an isolated past. Naturally this means she has an interest towards Taro as well. So far I wouldnt say those characters are impossible to juggle in a harem comedy... but then more characters get tangled into this web. Theres a girl named Yumi whos gay for Arashiko a girl named Kirino who leads a secret cult devoted to Mio a lolicon named Yukinojo whos attracted to Noa.... are you keeping track of all this?? Now how about Taros crossdressing friend?? Since the shows focus is constantly changing between each episode its hard to get bored with this. There are a handful of gags that get repeated a lot but Ive seen other shows wear out their gags far worse than MM. Just dont expect comedic genius. This is a very dumb show whose sense of humor is geared towards younger teenagers. Considering that this is Man Gets Beat Up by Cute Anime Girls: The Series I wouldnt call that disappointing. 2000https://i.ur.com/q1HYH8w.png Though I definitely wouldnt call it good either.
