In addition to try and clear up any misunderstandings concerning the show. However I would like to point out beforehand that I am by no means experienced on writing reviews. This review may be biased since I was somewhat familiar with the characters beforehand. And my English is no where near perfect so I apologize sincerely for any mistakes Story: 7/10 First off one of the major mistakes is the lack of plot and character development throughout the series. This anime was initially only directed to fans of the group already but well have to set that detail aside for a second. To provide some context UraShimaSakataSen USSS is a 4 person indie utaite group. The members consist of Uratanuki Shima Sakata and Senra Left to right from the gif above. As a pretty big Utaite fan Id only been mildly familiar with the group for around half a year or so. Even then I was pretty disappointed by the lack of plot. Each 4 minute episode seemed rushed with a different problem jumping around each episode. However I will still have to give them props for being able to work around this flaw and still manage to make me laugh through each episode. Characters: 8/10 Character development was the second problem Ive seen throughout the anime. Almost zero context is provided for the main characters personalities when theyre introduced. Other than the fact that all four of them are exchange students to their new high school. Several personality traits develop over time as we get to know the characters but remain flat throughout the whole series. However I wouldnt say that this obstacle really gets in the way of the main point of the series. Keeping in mind that this is just a short comedy anyways. Each member was fun and laughable to watch and left just the right amount of fun to get me hooked in. By the time I finished it left me wanting to go ahead and do some research on the group to please my curiosity. Art: 9/10 I dont tend to care much about any animes specific art style since most tend to be pretty repetitive unless it intrigues me or ties the whole plot together. This criteria applies in this anime. In the world of Utaite colors and character design play a big role in representing the singer more likely than not. Creators usually prefer to keep their appearance anonymous. The vivid colors throughout the series brings out who USSS is. The mains are easily recognizable through their bold green purple red and yellow color representation. Really showing off each ones unique qualities. Not to mention that their chibi character designs are adorable too Sound: 8/10 I dont have much to say about this section other than the fact that the opening is amazingly catchy I didnt skip a single second of it and will probably still listen to it on a daily basis. The boys did well voice acting too They all have really pretty voices Id recommend listening to some of their music if you havent already Overall Enjoyment and Thoughts: 8/10 After finishing the show as well as this review I would 100 have to say that this anime was meant for people who were already fans of USSS somewhat familiar with them or have a general understanding of the Utaite world. I hope that this series will be the start of a new subgenre in the anime community.
