This review may contain spoilers This anime is something. It is really unlikely to discover it by coincidence because its very unknown. But that is not a reason for it being bad. Its a good anime where you are gonna laugh a lot. Story The story follows our protagonist Natsuki Andou who joins the GoingHome Club. The story is not really exciting as every episode has a different setting and they arent connected in any way. It may get boring at some points but the comedy is even better so thats a minor problem. The comedy is very metafocussed as the characters make a lot of jokes about the anime. The jokes are often out of sudden which causes you to not be prepared for it. It catches you offguard to make you laugh even more. The title may be misleading because the clubactivities often take place in school and it has nothing to do with going home. Characters Natsuki Andou is a girl who is not really interested in the clubactivities but she plays often along. Then we have Karin Touno who is the typical happy and helpful person. Sakura Doumyouji is the president of the club and tries everything to get attention. These actions end often in hilarious situations. Claire Kokonoe is a rich girl who lacks commonsense. She solves every problem with her money and doesnt notice when she does anything inappropriate. At last we have Botan Oohagi who is a superhuman person who likes to fight bears and wants to beat the strongest of them. She often destroys things. The characters have no real substance but that may be the reason for this anime being so interesting. Visuals The visuals are my biggest point of criticism. The animation and art style are not very suitable for 2013 as they are so many anime from that year which do that better. The visuals arent bad but there was more potential which wouldve helped the anime to get more attention Music The music is nothing special. Its solid but nothing you will remember. The soundtrack is very average because its missing songs which you are gonna remember long. The Opening is not bad but not good either. The Endings are average as they sound too similar. Conclusion This is a very good anime as it entertains you very well with its really special comedy. But I wouldnt recommend this anime to people who dont like Cute Girls Doing Cute Things because this anime has a lot of characteristics from it like having characters who dont have a special personality and are acting very predictable. But people who like Cute Girls Doing Cute Things should give it a try because its really enjoyable and a great anime from that genre. Have a nice day :D
