Shikei Game is an acceptable death game manga by Misaki AmaneMisaki Amane. I give it a 3.5 out of 10 or 35 out of 100. Okay thank you for reading. That was the entire review. ...What? What do you mean a review cant be three lines long??? Sigh guess Ill just pad the review then An Acceptable Death Game 440https://i.ur.com/oea1S15.png Im not going to actually pad the review that was just a joke. Though really... Compared to the other death games Ive reviewed in the past there really isnt even much to say about Shikei Game. There isnt a wealth of horrible and gross sexual content I say as the series literally begins with a person wearing a bunny costume sawing a mostly nude girls legs off... the plot isnt either offensive or batshit insane the rules of the death game arent overly complicated or always changing or having new rules added on... 440https://i.ur.com/74LHHo2.png That doesnt count. The rabbit just forgot to tell them. Its really just a classic Saw situation. You of course probably dont need to have actually watched Saw to understand what I mean. This particular death game is just about a singular group of friends who wake up in a strange building and are suddenly told by someone wearing a bunny costume covered in blood that to leave this odd building theyre going to partake in some good old fashioned death games. 440https://i.ur.com/xgTCcnD.png And obviously if they refuse to go along with it the entirety of the group will likely die. As refreshingly simple short and straightforward this series is compared to the aforementioned other death games there is a downside to being too simple. Those absolutely awful death games while being pieces of shit I wish I could erase any memories of are unfortunately more memorable than this. This would have of course risked the chance of making this series into one of those but I feel this particular death game really could have used... I dont know an additional twist. When I first read this one it was directly following reading those other death games so I felt refreshed when this series just ended. 440https://i.ur.com/vrTG07Q.png There was no additional layer there was no outlandish final FINAL twist the surviving character just straight up got to actually escape and go home. Albeit psychologically scarred as a result of the experience and also theyve lost all of their friends. But now that some time has passed and I look back on it I think more along the lines of oh thats it? As if Im disappointed that there wasnt something... more? The character in the bunny costume really did just want nothing but revenge. Which Im fine with but it just threw me off. Thats all you want? Just plain old revenge? I mean okay if you say so... 440https://i.ur.com/JU90wo7.png Conclusion So the question is what score would I give to not a good death game not a bad death game but an acceptable death game? A 3.5 out of 10 or 35 out of 100. ...Kinda seems a bit too low for the term acceptable but not only do I feel that score is appropriate for this series at the end of the day there still really isnt much here other than the gore and also the situation that actually lands the group of friends in hot water with the person who wants revenge is beyond silly ...but at the time of posting this review that makes this the third highest death game Ive scored and reviewed. Ah... how low the bar is... 500https://i.ur.com/AuJvBGP.png PS: Also I think this is the first death game Ive ever seen that had like 4komas/humorous extra chapters. Im kind of mixed on the idea in general but for this one it worked. Even if it was immediately jarring to read them given that most of the characters die horribly violent deaths. 440https://i.ur.com/Q5GNzl1.png
