A Lull in the Sea or Nagi no Asukara. 1080https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/553281704849309707/813596843509284884/tumblrpmokv0eLPK1uwx15w1280.png Intro Fish Racism was a phrase that lured me into the anime questioning what was it about. The more that I dived in the more I fell in love with the anime. There was a lot to love about it the characters the settings the music the themes and so much more. Here is my scuffed review on A Lull in the Sea or Nagi no Asukara. 1080https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/553281704849309707/813598606141554719/latest.png Setting I generally think they nailed the setting down. The village of Shioshishio very aesthetically pretty just everything about it beautiful. I really love the small town of Oshiooshi it feels really admiring perhaps thats due to my bias of adoring small town settings. 1080https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/553281704849309707/813600721462231100/76e4bba43f9508315474cbaca89eabe98a3655cfhq.png Music Sea God I love the music in this anime. It just oozes so much from it through the OST to its Openings and to its Endings. Every time when I listen to the second opening ebb and flow by Ray I just get chills from it. The second ending Mitsuba no Musubime by Yanagi Nagi gives me some big feels as well. https://www..com/watch?v=OG4iZMGXcQI Visuals The visuals? Topnotch. As expected from P.A. Works a lot of money shots and gorgeous imagery. One of a kind anime to witness. 1080https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/553281704849309707/813605174139682816/latest.png Characters I think majority of the cast got decent/welldone development through out the anime. We start off with the four friends of Hikari Manaka Kaname and Chisaki. The MC seems more salty than the sea that he comes from. Hikari may seem annoying at first but youll get used to his character down the road. Manaka someone that needs her smile to be protected at all the time. Kaname an absolute chad sometimes. And best girl Chisaki being the adult of the friend group. And addition to this friend group is Tsumugu who is seen as the rival to Hikari. Miuna was pretty great in the second half of the anime. Sayu was pretty nice as well. I was really interested in the love polygon that was presented throughout the anime. I also like the side characters such as Akari and Uroko to this story it felt like they contributed a lot into the story. 1080https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/553281704849309707/813613213366353920/latest.png Story I really enjoyed Fish Racism the anime. The first half of the anime may be slow to some viewers but to me it was such a treat to watch. It was like watching something blooming into something beautiful. I enjoyed how each character interacted with each other to how the romance battle royale would turn out and how the fish people interacted with the surface people. The second half of the anime was the most enjoyable part for me I loved everything about it to the themes of what it means to love someone to the reality and struggles that each character had to go through. I love how the anime showcases its worldbuilding and the people around it. The story was beautiful to sea. 1080https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/553281704849309707/813596961462157342/chisaki.png Conclusion I love this. I dont know if it is either drunken love or just a high from binge watching this. You sea here I think Fish Racism the anime. I mean A Lull in the Sea / Nagi no Asukara is a genuine anime to sea.
