A Japanese boy band/idol group from Tokyo Japan. Consisting of Satoshi Ohno Sho Sakurai Masaki Aiba Kazunari Ninomiya and Jun Matsumoto the band was formed on September 15 1999 in Honolulu Hawaii. The band became the bestselling artist of 2019 their tenth anniversary as they had simultaneously topped the singles album and music DVD charts.
On January 27 2019 Arashi announced that group activities would be suspended as of December 31 2020.
