She is also known for her voice acting as Miyamizu Mitsuha in the movies Kimi no Na wa Your Name in 2016 and Tenki no Ko Weathering With You in 2019. On December 24 2020 it was announced that she will play the main role of Yasuko in the 105th Asadora Come Come Everybody. Kamishiraishi Mone was selected through an audition from 3061 applicants. From February to July 2022 she played Chihiro in the stage play Spirited Away from Studio Ghibli. In March and April 2023 she will play the main role of Jane Eyre in the musical Jane Eyre directed by John Caird.
