He won the Honorable Mention in Ax Manga New Face Award for Enrique Kobayashis El Dorado Episode 1 of Last Waltz in 2000 and thereafter has published fulllength books with regular consistency. His Toroimerai won the 2008 Tezuka Osamu New Spirit Award. In 2020 he won the Grand Prize in the Manga Division at the 23rd Cultural Agency Media Arts Festival for Robo Sapiens Zenshi. His artistic influences include Kurt Vonnegut Robert Altman and Sergio Leone.
