Toshiyuki Itahana

板鼻利幸
A game director and character designer for Square Enix. He was responsible for introducing the little child or chibi style to the Final Fantasy series. He worked as a character designer alongside Hideo Minaba for Final Fantasy IX. He is the main character designer for both the Crystal Chronicles and Chocobo spinoff series. Itahana has directed two games at Square Enix. The first is Code Age Commanders an Action RPG for the PlayStation 2 that was released in 2005. His second game as director was Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers an Action RPG released for the Wii in 2009. Source: FinalFantasy Wiki
