Toshitsugu Saida

An oldtime animator behind many of Oh Productionhttps://anilist.co/studio/234/s works and arguably the studios most famous animator. Saida joined the studio soon after it was established in 1970. There he studied under Kazuo Komatsubarahttps://anilist.co/staff/129558/ and Kouichi Muratahttps://anilist.co/staff/191548/ quickly becoming one of the studios star animators. Gauche the Cellisthttps://anilist.co/anime/1049/ was in part a vehicle for his skills in which Saida singlehandedly drew all of the key animation for the 63minute film. Afterwards he was involved as character designer and animation director in many of the 70s and 80s series that were imported to Europe including World Masterpiece Theatre classics Shoukoujo Sarahttps://anilist.co/anime/2547/ and Haha o Tazunete Sanzenrihttps://anilist.co/anime/1663/. He is still active to this day working near exclusively on the longrunning Chibi Marukochanhttps://anilist.co/anime/6149/ series.
