Their style of music centres around dance music mainly focusing on pop and crazy. However they use lots of inspiration from genres such as rap hiphop and electroswing. On April 1st 2017 the group announced an official hiatus in order to focus on their respective careers yet still did occasional collaborations outside of FAKE TYPE during this period. As of September 30th 2020 the group has returned from hiatus and continued group activity.
