Hai Mao graduated from China Academy of Art. During his college days Hai Mao was actively involved in various doujin circles and primarily made those related to Touhou Project in which he was an ardent fan of. He also loves doujins made by other artists who later became part of Hypergryph notably Huanxiang Yutu and NoriZC. It was during this period that Hai Mao befriended Zhong Yuhttps://anilist.co/staff/266087/ZhongYu who would later found MICA Team now Sunbornhttps://anilist.co/studio/6593/SUNBORNNetworkTechnology of the Girls Frontline fame where Hai Mao himself would be part of.
