It was formed during the audition process of iCON Z Dreams For Children in 2022. The group reached the final round and won the Grand Prix held at Nippon Budokan attaining the opportunity to debut. They debuted on 11th January 2023 with the single Hunter which reached the number 1 rank on Oricon Weekly Single Ranking in the very first week. With their debut they became a part of EXILE TRIBE the collective of the male groups from their agency. Theyre also a part of the other collective group NEO EXILE which consists of all the debuted groups from iCON Z. At the end of 2023 LIL LEAGUE won an award under the Upcoming Dance Vocal Group category at MTV Video Music Awards Japan and another award under the New Artists of the Year category at 65th Japan Record Awards. The group has garnered attention thanks to the average age of the members being only 16 alluding to its name LIL LEAGUE. Practically all of them excel at all the 3 elements of a performance group: singing rapping and dancing.
