She is a lefthanded woman and enjoys listening to the music of the Japanese rock bands Bump of Chicken and Ellengarden. In 2006 she debuted in the November issue of the Ribon magazine with the manga Totteoki no uta. In 2016 she visited her German fans at the Leipzig Book Fair. Her shojo manga Hiyokoi was one of the best sold manga since her debut.
