SPOILERS BEWARE So here it is the movie sequel to Goblin Slayer and well my previous opinion on this show still stands Im simply not a fan of this series at all as its pitifully boring and repetitive all that happens is goblins get slayed and thats really it Im afraid. This time Goblin Slayer and his party end up fighting a Goblin Paladin but the fight was pretty underwhelming as it didnt really grasp my attention and by the time the fight could have been getting good it was already over. For me the Goblin Slayer series is a lost cause which cant be saved cause its main principle of slaying goblins just makes it pretty tiresome to endure and not the least bit enjoyable as it gets very repetitive and the foes they fight are pretty underwhelming to say the least. I can compare this animes fights to any other action anime Ive seen and those fights will be superior for sure. 800https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/635602177833959439/1015335032493183046/unknown.png Need I say that the first half of the movie is a recap of the anime so the new content amounts to only around half the movie which mainly involves Goblin Slayers party breaching a castle atop a snowy mountain where the Goblin Paladin resides its same old goblin slaying as we saw in the anime series and it gets pretty dull and repetitive quickly. The problem with Goblin Slayer is that it may have had potential at some point but ends up being unoriginal tedious and very predictable. 800https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/635602177833959439/1015335608891228331/unknown.png The characters arent particularly interesting either Goblin Slayer is same old himself who has very vague responses and is pretty much a kuudere which normally would be my favorite kind of personality but it just doesnt click with him since he is so damn boring and I still didnt get to see his eyes by the time the movie ended which made me pretty unsatisfied. In my Goblin Slayer review for the anime I mentioned that none of the characters are given names in the show it stays the same here sure they call each other by nicknames but the priest girl still hasnt been called by her name even once in the entire show. Going to refer back to my point in my other review where I had to actively search the wiki for her name which is just bizarre There is a new adventurer that they meet and save from the goblins but once again she wasnt given a name and is just referred to as her we know nothing about this character besides the fact her party was wiped out during the raid on the goblins. The rest of Goblin Slayers party remains pretty much the same so nothing really notable worth mentioning. 800https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/635602177833959439/1015336162992341083/unknown.png Overall this movie suffers the same problems as the anime where its almost a direct copy with a new type of goblin the first half is filler as its just recapping and the actual movie only lasts around 30 mins where it never really captivates the audience or makes me immersed in the show at all. I only watched this movie to be a completionist and so I can say I watched Goblin Slayer and I can safely say I really dont like it it may be for some but mindless goblin slaying isnt really my cup of tea so this show is just a failure to me and that wont change no matter how many times I rewatch. Going to end it on the note saying that I definitely dont recommend this show at all as its far from my taste but if you enjoy mindless goblin slaying then by all means go ahead and watch it as it may be interesting to you.
