SPOILERS BEWARE Polyphonica Crimson S is the prequel to Polyphonica but it came out two years later it focuses more on the aspect of Phorons school life as well as his meeting with Coatie and how they came to seal the contract between themselves. I enjoyed this prequel more than the sequel but still the series and anime arent anything extraordinary or remarkably memorable sure enough its enjoyable but once I finish it will I remember the anime? Probably not since it doesnt really leave a mark on me. This time round it at least felt like the story was complete and as one rather than each episode having its own ministory as was the case in the sequel as stated before in my other review. It was pretty evident what the story of this anime was and it was fairly easy to follow through and it kind of made sense we also saw a side of Coatie that isnt even present in the sequel and well she has eight wingsso that makes her one of the founding spirits of the world? After watching the prequel I at least have a slight more interest in checking out the source but supposedly this one was adapted from an LN compared to the sequel being from a VN so is there no source that combines both of these? I mentioned already more or less what Polyphonica is about in my original review since this one is pretty similar but focuses more on Phoron before he graduated and started working at his company the sequel is a direct continuation it seems but there was also a one year time leap right at the end of the final episode of this series. At first I thought this prequel was also going to be a slog to finish but later on it really picked up and I watched most of the season in one sitting so it was enjoyable but after finishing it I wont exactly remember much about it the romance in this one is slightly stronger and we even have kisses but putting the tag on this series is very fabricated since its almost minimal there are clear indications of possible romance but it never prospers hence why I think the tag is just added to attract more viewers like myself. I do have to give credit where its due the girls in this show are adorable and that goes for the main ones like Coatie Perse and Prine Coatie at times looks like a carbon copy of Shana from her retrospective anime where I also mentioned this similarity in my other review. There are wholesome and heartwarming moments in the anime too so theres that but as a whole the anime is just average its not bad but its not amazing either so it just gets a passing average grade. Like I said earlier I wonder if it just hasnt been fully adapted from its source because this series could probably be longer than 12 episodes I feel like there is plenty of content to tell a longer tale. Overall its just an average anime but if you have time to kill then you can give it a watch its hard for me to pinpoint what its best points are though. 800https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/635602177833959439/901938278826115093/unknown.png
