SPOILERS BEWARE Overlord IV picks up pretty much where its prequel left off but I need to address a misunderstanding that I mentioned in my S3 review. There I said that Ainz took over the ReEstize Kingdom which isnt quite right. What he actually took over was a small city called ERantel however by the end of this season he does indeed conquer the kingdom by completely annihilating it...perhaps I simply made a blind accidental correct prediction back then... This season of Overlord the world building is once more present at its finest and I really appreciate the anime for doing this. Ainzs plan for world domination is in full motion as countries are easily pledging to become vassal states of the Sorcerer Kingdom. Ainz truly is an absolutely evil Overlord but I cant help cheer him on in his quest for world domination. 800https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/635602177833959439/1026886106286915594/unknown.png I dont want to start sounding repetitive however after four seasons of Overlord I pretty much have the same thing to say over and over the world of Overlord truly fascinates and the world building is implemented really well making it enjoyable to uncover new things about its world. This season introduces us to the Dwarf Kingdom which interested Ainz as he learned about runesmiths and that they originate from this kingdom. Along the way he happened to tame some ice dragons and the entire race of the Quagoa he achieved this all within a span of a few days. Ainz is such mastermind that even he himself isnt aware of the full potential of his plans as he unknowingly convinced the Baharuth Empire to became his vassal state all while barely breaking a sweat dueling the empires strongest warrior. 800https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/635602177833959439/1026887098214650007/unknown.png The main treat of this season comes in the final few episodes as Albedo being the diplomatic envoy of the Sorceror Kingdom arrives before the royal family to declare war on the ReEstize Kingdom and well once the kingdoms fate was sealed there simply wasnt anyone or anything that could change it... Since I had the misconception last season that Ainz took over the kingdom while creating his own this becomes a reality in the final episodes as he massacres the kingdom and its people to prove his point that he WILL not show mercy to anyone that defies him and his home. 800https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/635602177833959439/1026887978867495002/unknown.png In Overlord I specifically enjoy seeing villains or characters who think they are strong only to be completely humiliated by Ainz and his family Riku Aganeia or so he called himself is actually a dragon lord from the Slave Theorecacy by the looks of it and Azuth is an experienced warrior from the kingdom both being of the adamantite class. As we learn by the end of the duel the Ainz in this battle against Riku was actually Pandoras Actor because lets be honest would Ainz ever plea for his life the way Pandoras Actor did? Ever since Riku made his cameo he came across as pretty badass and a small part of me truly was cheering to see what kind of damage he could inflict on the Overlord himself. I got the same expression when Evileye was first introduced my thinking went along the lines of oh look a somewhat strong character that is not evil but how strong are they truly? It so happens that both of these happen to be characters completely cloaking their real identity. I do hope we see more of these two in battles again in the future. 800https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/635602177833959439/1026890970429669467/unknown.png Lastly as the final episode demonstrates by the end of the season the ReEstize Kingdom has completely fallen as it was annihilated by Ainz and his subordinates. The declaration of war occurred due a foolish noble who orchestrated an attack on food supplies that were being transported to the Slave Theorecacy from the Sorcerer Kingdom. All this destruction due to the actions of a foolish noble and THE entire kingdom perished due to one nobles foolish move. Ainz does not fuk around if you oppose him... Also who is princess Renner really? She turns into a demon but we are never shown how this happened. We also very much know about her twisted yandere personality from the past seasons so I dont envy Climbs position in the slightest. The remainder of his life may very well be full of slavery and suffering. In the end Ainz truly is an absolutely evil Overlord but I cant help cheer him on in his quest for world domination.
