Ive been watching anime since 2014. Ive always preferred anime with light tones bright colors and cuteness but I do occasionally watch darker anime. Starting from July 10 2021 3:00PM EST AniList will be my main anime website to update watch counts. My Rating Scale S Tier 9.510.0 This show is practically perfect. I have virtually no problems with this anime. The premise seems very promising and it delivered the premise flawlessly. If it has a story it is handled with pinpoint precision. I absolutely love some of the characters and just about every single character is at least good. The way the characters are treated/handled is done super well. The soundtrack is very impressive. The opening and ending themes are legendary. The art is stunning and the animation is spoton. The moments are spectacular. There are virtually no moments or aspects that I disliked and/or some of these positive aspects go up to 11 It has everything I want to see in an anime. Or maybe it just won me out just by the amount of appeal the premise and characters have to me. Watching this anime makes me feel euphoric. Truly an epic masterpiece. Receiving that honor requires incredibly hard work. Examples: Puella Magi Madoka Magica No Game No Life SteinsGate S Tier 9.19.5 Not an epic masterpiece but it comes close. I might have a few nitpicks with this anime there may be minor problems or it may be lacking in something. Otherwise the show excels in many many aspects including its art its animation its premise its characters its character designs its story its moments and/or its music. This is a mustwatch and achieving an S grade is no easy feat. Examples: Clannad Mob Psycho 100 A Place Further Than the Universe AA Tier 8.59.0 I love this anime I didnt necessarily love every minute of it as it has a few problems or it may be lacking in something. However it is an incredibly enjoyable/rewarding anime that must be watched. Its art its animation its premise its characters its character designs its story its moments and/or its music are done very well. Getting an AA grade isnt easy but isnt really difficult either. Examples: NEW GAME Kanon 2006 Cells at Work A Tier 8.08.5 This anime has impressed me. Its execution is great or I really enjoyed it. Sure it has its problems here or there but it keeps me entertained/invested for a large amount of time. A lot of the moments of this anime were well executed and/or entertaining and its worth watching. As are easy to get if things are planned out accordingly. Examples: Air Genshiken Gekkan Shoujo NozakiKun B Tier 7.57.9 This is a really good anime. While it may have at least one great thing in terms of quality/enjoyment I also kind of wish something could be done to make the anime more entertaining or less flawed. Overall I liked it. Bs are very easy to obtain if a good amount of effort is put into it. Examples: GJBu Blend S The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya C Tier 6.57.5 Its alright. Standard tier stuff that I probably wont watch again but it was fun while it lasted. Maybe its just decent overall. It either does not deserve its poor reception gets way too much praise or its reception is fair. It has some problems and it may be a little disappointing but it passes. Getting a C grade does not require a lot of effort. Examples: AChannel Black Bullet Hinako Note D Tier 5.56.5 I guess its OK. There were several problems I had with this anime and those aspects kind of ruined the experience for me. At least the good aspects outweigh the bad aspects or it did something that prevented it from getting an E. It wasnt anything bad but I wouldnt call it good. A grade of D either shows little effort done or it just does not appeal to me. Examples: C Control Kanamemo Watamote E Tier 4.55.5 This is a mediocre anime that was not executed well. Theres nothing exciting about it or there were plenty of moments I genuinely disliked. Even though it may have some good moments the good and bad parts are evenly mixed. Its not a terrible anime but its a failure nonetheless. Avoid watching these anime if you can. Examples: Rewrite Kokoro Connect Aiura F Tier 2.04.5 Straight up bad Heres a list of the things that could land an anime down in this forsaken tier. Its bad aspects outweigh its good aspects Has so many problems that I can go on and on talking about its problems Has a disastrous flaw that puts an otherwise great anime down here. Has very few redeemable qualities that are overshadowed by its negative qualities Doesnt appeal to me at all AND is very forgettable Its watching experience still haunts me to this day Watching it is truly unpleasant Its execution was incredibly lazy I would be better off never watching it and you should never watch these anime. Examples: Tantei Opera Milky Holmes Haiyore NyarukoSan Himegoto F Tier 1.01.9 An appalling premise a repulsive execution and excessive problems. It traumatized/greatly infuriated me.
