HOW I GENERALLY GOT INTO ANIME/MANGA I do not quite remember exactly what lead me to become interested in manga and anime except I know it happen sometime in the early 2000s. I was visiting a Blockbuster back when they were a thing as I recall I wanted something to watch and I saw an issue of a magazine on display titled Newtype USA and it came with a sample DVD disk containing the first episodes of to anime being Azumanga Daioh: The Animationhttps://anilist.co/anime/66/AzumangaDaioh/ and Comic Partyhttps://anilist.co/anime/289/ComicParty/. Watching those two shows were different from the other animates shows I have seen up until now as the latter was like watching an animated drama and the former had a tone I never felt in a show before. However years earlier my sister brought this book home from her schools book fair titled How to Draw Manga by Katy Coope and I recall being curious about the term manga so I looked it up online as well as anime and that is how I came to learn about Japanese comics and animation and with that at the time it felt like entering a whole new world at the time. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . ACTIVITY POLICY Anything that I add to my planning list are either going to be what I am going to watch in a coming or future season or what I am about to check out soon so my planning list is not going to be treated like a watch/read list. I already have a list of anime manga and light novels I want to check out one day archived elsewhere. Also I would be sharing my thoughts on the episodes I watch under the activities but because I am new to this I would only be covering a few anime at a time of my choosing especially when it comes to seasonal anime. This is so I would not overwhelm myself as well as fall behind on seasonal anime considering it takes a while for me to type out my thoughts. Anime I would be covering I would mention in my activity. Lastly as I mention at the top I would be posting updates whenever I make changes to my profile but I will also once in a while I share other things that is related anime manga and light novels since activities seem to be in a similar format to that of facebook. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . RATING POLICY Ideally I would like to rate stories base on words instead of numbers but being this option is not available on Anilist the next best thing I would be turning to is the 5 star rating system since its simple enough to comprehend. I would only give stories a rating once they have been completed and concerning anime series in particular any show with multiple seasons would share the same rating with each other instead of being rated separately since they are continuations of the same story. In cases in which I decide to drop a story it would not receive a rating since it would be unfair judge it without seeing it through to the end. Explanations for why a story was rated the way it was or dropped can be found on the notes on my lists. Manga light novels and anime will primarily be judge base on the quality of story telling and the overall enjoyment I had with my time with a piece of work. Other factors may be taken into consideration as well depending on the medium the story I am judging was being told by. The ratings will go as follow: 1/5 star: The equivalent of receiving an F. The story has so many problems to the point there is hardly anything redeeming about it. Thus it would be consider a failure. This would be a rare score since its not often I would come across something so bad. Plus its possible that I would have drop a series before it starts going too downhill. 2/5 star: The equivalent of receiving a D. The story is of low quality to the point of being barely passable. 3/5 star: The equivalent of receiving a C. The story is of average quality. Expect to see this rating commonly since most of what is put out is of average quality. 4/5 star: The equivalent of receiving a B. The story is of good quality. It succeeds in almost all aspects but is held back by one or two major flaws. 5/5 star: The equivalent of receiving a A. The story is of top quality. This is when I either I find no fault in the story or if I do the flaws are so minor to the point of not being a big deal. Much like the 1/5 score this may also be a rare a score. The scores I give stories are not set in stone and so can potentially change when I feel my views of them as change overtime. With all that said there are going to be times in which I do not give a rating right away once I finish a story because I may be uncertain of my overall thoughts on it. Similarly I may not provide the reasoning for my ratings on the notes due to getting occupy by other things and thus ending up forgetting over Lastly concerning the anime side of things music videos would not be rated nor added to my anime list. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . SOME FACTS ABOUT ME My Sumerian zodiac sign is Gemini while my Chinese zodiac sign is that of the snake specifically the Earth snake. As for my birthstone and flowers the former is the emerald which symbolizes fertility growth health love patience rebirth and wisdom and the latter are both the lily of the valleys Convallaria majalis which represent a return of happiness and the harthorns Crataegus spp. which represent hope. I have INFPlike preferences when it comes to the Myers Briggs Type Indicator My favorite time of day are mornings because I think the environment looks the best during early morning hours and I typically feel the most refresh. When I am playing a game that has a time feature unless there is either narrative reason or a certain quest that require for it to be nighttime I will always switch it back to mornings when it starts to become evening because I prefer to play when it looks like daytime. Spring is my top favorite season due to the comfortable temperature that feels both comfortable and energizing as well as the flowers that come into bloom around this time. The downside of Spring temperatures are the allergies I end up dealing with if I am not careful due to it being mating season for plants but the experience I get out of this season outweighs the inconvenience even when it can be a pain to deal with. Autumn comes in second because while the temperatures are cooler it still feels about right but instead of feeling energizing its calming. Plus I enjoy observing the shades of warm colors that are on display by the trees. Coming in third is Summer because in the climate I live in not only does it get hot around this time but humid as well which makes being outside a pain since I come out hot sweaty and sticky. I hate the heat but its not as bad compare to cold temperatures which leaves Winter by least favorite season for this reason. Cold temperatures can be painful for me depending on how cold it gets and having to constantly deal with the inconvenience of a running noise gets quickly annoying. The season can also have an effect on my mood when the weather is cloudy with cold temperatures added in the mix and just everything around appearing dead because life is dormant around this time. The only good thing to come out of Winter is snow because then the environment has an entirely different appearance that is not seen often and thus gives a reason for the cold temperatures around this time.
