My first anime list was a simple .txt file that I kept for years in the late 2000s until I overwrote it with an old backup copy by mistake cloud storage wasnt mainstream back then. I like to watch anime without being influenced too much by popular opinion. I see myself as a free thinker and Id like to keep it that way even in the anime realm. Watching anime is all about having fun after all. I discovered AniList during the major outage of MAL in 2018. Ever since Ive been back at every outage. Ive been trying to muster the courage to leave MAL behind for good.
