Ratings Guide Below is a rough one line write up on what sort of quality I assign to the numbers I give out. The write ups that I also include in the notes for each show are also spoiler free and generally intended to give a better look at why each show works either as a rough overview of across various categories so feel free to read those. 10 Perfect for me. Wouldnt change a thing about the whole experience. Even nitpicks cant detract from a wholly exquisite experience. 9 Fantastic. Cohesive and imaginative plot. Engaging and detailed story telling. Distinctive and fully formed characters. Attractive art and animation. Captivating and well balanced music. Minor issues only. 8 Great. One of the core elements from above just doesnt jive or has moderate issues preventing it from shining. Otherwise very enjoyable and captivating. 7 Good. Moderate issues in multiple categories above but still recommended and a enjoyable experience overall thats worth watching. 6 Okay. Major issues in parts of the experience or just generally uninspiring and not memorable in any real way but at least provides some positive memories. 5 Average. Neither good nor bad. Doesnt manage to particularly excel in any area but also doesnt fall flat on its face as a total experience either. 4 Poor. Starting to fall down with notably rough aspects in multiple areas of the show with very few positive aspects to pull it up not all that enjoyable but still finishable. 3 Bad. Nothing particularly memorable for a positive aspect to pull it through. Feels rough or poorly handles all aspects of the show 2 Awful. No redeeming features in any aspect of the show to the point of being potentially unfinishable. Not totally hopeless but not worth remembering. 1 Atrocious. Please erase the memory of this shows existence from my mind. Unrated: Watched it too long ago and my memory sucks so I would like to rewatch it first before rating. I do try and keep it as fair and equal across shows I rate as possible but I dont believe in true objectivity. Im more likely to notice and remember flaws in a show I didnt enjoy as much compared to a show I was on the edge of my seat for. That said if shows have similar issues that bring them down they get similar scores. I rate the shows as an overall thing Im not going to give a show a worse rating simply because it started off boring for a bit or a perfect rating because it ended amazingly etc if thats not reflected in my overall perception of its quality.
