Im disabled so I have a lot of time to consume content. But also because of that I do get easily irritated which isnt good for my health. As such I primarily enjoy stories where the main character does not injustly suffer. I hate tragedies. I hate dramas. Also I hate violent tsunderes. I like it when fox girls get headpats Honestly underrepresented genre Id probs read a series just about that. I like it when the main character is strong and can do things of value with his strength. Before I became disabled I was fairly competent. If I wanted to see someone less competent than myself struggle to do something while being in pain for no reason Id just go out and do things myself. Id like to read happy stories about people in situations that could never exist succeeding and becoming better versions of themselves. I primarily like main characters that are good people and do good things for the world but Ill read evil main characters too. Honestly as long as the author doesnt make me waste an hour on drama social interactions where people cant have basic adult human conversations Im pretty satisfied. If youre reincarnated and mentally 30 and you cant figure out basic romance...Sorry but youre kinda worthless and I wish anyone with basic social skills had been reincarnated instead. Im a bit autistic and I can figure it out. At least be openly disabled if youre going to be so challenged so I can say its good for representation. Ive written things but Im too lazy and disabled to do so consistently. As a result of that and having seen way too much content for one human being honestly I just despise most authors and think its a complete waste of money that half of their content was ever produced. So I watch translated content because then I can blame the translator instead of the author if something is poorly written out. In that sense being disabled is a miracle for me because my brain is no longer capable of finding hundreds of plot holes and predicting the plot. Im just a happy vegetable. By lowering my competence it has increased the number of characters at my competence level and I have more stories I can enjoy. In another sense if your character is less competent than a disabled person Im not sure theyre worth having an entire story made about them. How much money and time did you spend animating a story that doesnt even have a good plot where you cut out everything interested about the series and left the viewers who havent seen the source confused? Honestly I hate most series and most that I enjoy people consider worthless because its just Not suspenseful with an overpowered main character. So those series get stopped early. That said theres a few worth love: I am the Sorcerer King https://anilist.co/manga/110042/NaneunMadowangida/ Honestly this main character has powers Id want if I reincarnated. If youre a mage youve gotta drown yourself in researching magic and make cool almost scifi stuff right? Fireballs are for losers. My Uncle is a Super Star https://anilist.co/manga/128486/UriSamchoneunWorldStar/ Not as amazing but pretty solid. Just about a dude who gets a system and becomes a super idol and does a bunch of charity because hes not a jerk. Also he has a very adorable niece who deserves love. Solo Leveling https://anilist.co/manga/105398/NaHonjamanLevelUp/ Well everyone knows this story right? I think its great because it exposes the problem with systems but it doesnt become a detriment to the main character. Also I do adore characters who actually did some work to get their power. On that note I absolutely despise series where its like Oh I won the power lottery so now Im strong or Oh I have the strongest summon Okay so you did absolutely nothing but you think youre cool because you got lucky and thats the plot? I really hope youre competent or Im going to hate this series automatically. Some of my top anime would be Air Gear Code Geass Phantom Requiem for the Phantom Chrome Shelled Regios Cross Game One Outs Hunter x Hunter and lets say Kiba. Death Note was good I suppose it was just really disappointing as a whole. The main character as almost competent but the villains had plot armor and the main character was cocky. Well honestly if the main character was actually competent there wouldnt even be a story so I get it. While Im rambling Im firmly on the side of Even if Im 30 if I reincarnate and Im 14 Im going to date a 14 year old. I think authors avoid that and I hate them for it. Oh but its an age gap and its weird. I mean if you intentionally manipulate them and make them sad yes. If you give them love and use your knowledge to support them and help them accomplish their dreams not really. I mean whats the alternative? Date a 45 year old because Were the same mental age? Nah its a crime cant. Plus theyd die 30 years before me not worth. Miss the main age for romance a second time? Pass. Be single forever because an audience would judge me? F them. Ultimately you gotta at least deserve the chance for happiness otherwise honestly just die instead of being reincarnated. If I reincarnated just to be single forever Id only do so in exchange for godlike power I could use to protect people and make a nice world. If I cant have either? Why bother. If I cant do good or have good its not worth living. Why am I alive now? I can kinda do good and I can kinda have good with fantasy. I dunno if Id choose to do this all over again though. If you have to live a life filled with pain arent you supposed to get a nice reincarnation? Ill just be who I want to be and wait for that. If I dont get anything nice oh well I did my best. I dunno why you read this much rambling but thats me. Thanks.
