I was nominated by RJBScarletRain to post my TOP 5 ULTIMATE GOD TIER ANIME EVERYONE SHOULD WATCH I dont really think everyone should watch these but cooperate for a sec: no 5. https://anilist.co/anime/474/MacrossPlus/ 220https://i.ur.com/TcTdbGg.gif A beautiful OVA from the Macross franchise codirected by Shinichir Watanabe and with music by Yoko Kanno. Has one of my favorite anime soundtracks. Best appreciated after seeing the previous parts series and/or DYRL movie but can also be watched as a standalone. no 4. https://anilist.co/anime/570/JinRohTheWolfBrigade/ 220https://i.ur.com/KFLU4lq.png For people who like dark and gloomy anime a political thriller with a romance subplot. A slowpaced story with immersive atmosphere enchanced by a realistic artstyle with very little colors really makes you feel the hopelessness of the situation the main characters are in. I found the movie to be pretty depressing yeah I like this kind of stuff and I loved how the subtle foreshadowing eventually led to one of in my opinion the best anime plot twists Ive seen. no 3. https://anilist.co/anime/33/KenpuuDenkiBerserk/ 220https://i.ur.com/2MJJqrZ.jpg Yes I know the manga is better but still the 1997 show did an outstanding job. Complex and wellwritten characters in a tragic story where fate plays the main role a very good although not perfect representation of the Golden Age arc in the anime version with awesome soundtrack by Hirasawa Susumu. no 2. https://anilist.co/anime/1033/SennenJoyuu/ 220https://i.ur.com/t5kXHwA.gif My favorite movie from Satoshi Kon. A psychological story about longing for the past escapism chasing something thats out of our reach and idealising things we know we cant have. Unusual directing style similar to Perfect Blue where the reality melds with the fiction most of the story is told through the movies our main character an actress starred in. This isnt a story thatll click with everyone but I still recommend giving it a try. Also another soundtrack by Hirasawa. no 1. https://anilist.co/anime/1/CowboyBebop/ 220https://66.media.tumblr.com/a67050de5e90b57a179dd909f98bf757/tumblrp5we366r9b1w2tfpoo1500.gif A semiepisodic anime with some not connected episodes and some that will eventually lead the series to a great conclusion. Even though the characters continue to live their daily lives their past still affects them and all of them confront it in a different way. The episodic part of the show presents different stories and themes and also further develops main characters. Not all of those stories are that great but most of them really got me. On top of that we get lots of westernstyle action an intriguing postapocalyptic setting beautiful visuals and one of the best anime sountracks. No other anime ever made me feel this empty after it ended. Honorable mentions my top 610: Death Note Perfect Blue Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann Macross: Do You Remember Love? Gintama I nominate everyone who want to participate but wasnt nominated yet.
